Wendy was born halfway between Northern and Southern Ontario, in Sault Ste Marie although the family moved from there shortly thereafter.

At last counting, Wendy had moved to twenty-three different houses, across four provinces, with her parents by the time she was sixteen.

Reading and writing were Wendy's steadfast companions. So many places, books, authors and people influenced Wendy she's developed an eclectic style which she shares on her blog Wendy.WendyHayko.ca
